Gretta Van Riel
Gretta van Riel is one of Australia’s most successful serial entrepreneurs. With over 16M followers on Instagram, over 5.8M impressions a month on Pinterest, and 5 successful startups under her belt, Gretta prides herself on turning audiences into brands and trends into markets.
She founded her first startup, SkinnyMe Tea (SMT), at 22 with $24 in the bank. SMT went on to be a global success with explosive growth, winning the Shopify Build-A-Business competition in 2013. Five years on, SMT now has hundreds of thousands of happy customers and has sold over 11 million cups of tea worldwide.
Gretta later went on to co-create The 5th Watches, which achieved $100k in revenue on it’s first day of sales, and $1M in a single day of sales on it’s first birthday.
More recently, Gretta has shifted her focus from e-Commerce and consumer goods, to tech. She’s productised everything she has learnt about influencer marketing, and launched an Influencer Marketing platform called Hey Influencers. Hey Influencers is an IRM – ‘Influencer Relationship Management’ and campaign creation platform helping to connect and cultivate relationships between brands and social influencers.
